About Best Movers LA

Why we started

Best Movers LA was founded in 2020 after our team spent years working for large carriers and watching the same pattern repeat: bait-and-switch quotes, day-labor crews grabbed from parking lots, and "fuel fees" invented at the curb. We built this company to be the opposite — one operation, our own trucks, our own W-2 employees, and a flat hourly rate confirmed in writing before the truck ever rolls.

Our team

We at Best Movers LA employ 14 full-time, background-checked movers and 3 office coordinators — all W-2, never a 1099 subcontractor or day-labor hire. Every crew leader has completed a minimum of 300 supervised moves before leading independently. We run two trucks and can dispatch up to four simultaneous crews across LA County, seven days a week from 7 AM to 8 PM.

Three promises on every job

The quote is the price. Your flat hourly rate is confirmed in writing before move day — it cannot grow at the door. On time or 10% off. If the crew arrives outside the promised window, your bill drops 10%, no argument. Claims answered in 24 hours. If anything is damaged, a real person responds within one business day with a repair or reimbursement plan.

Insurance & safety

• Cargo insurance: $100,000 per load on every job — no exceptions.
• Commercial general liability: Active on every move. We provide certificates of insurance (COIs) to buildings within 24 hours at no charge.
• Background checks: Every employee passes a state-level criminal background check before first shift and annually thereafter.
• Vehicle compliance: All trucks carry required state placards and pass monthly safety inspections.

What we promise on every move

• The quote is the price. No fuel surcharges, stair fees, blanket rental, or "heavy item" surprises. If it's not in your written quote, you don't pay it.
• On-time or discounted. Arrive outside the promised window and you get 10% off. We hit our windows on 98% of moves.
• Professional crews only. Uniformed W-2 employees with an average of 600+ completed moves of experience per crew member. We never staff from a parking lot.
• Everything included. Blankets, shrink wrap, tape, wardrobe boxes on loan, floor and door protection, disassembly and reassembly of standard furniture — all in the hourly rate.
• LA logistics handled. Parking permits, building COIs, elevator reservations, hillside shuttle trucks — planned by dispatch before move day, no extra charge.

Where we work
